Regenerations

2018

These paper sculptures are made from the gampi fibers and dyed using vegetables such as cabbage and beets. This is an artwork that is sustainable and could return to the earth without damaging it. This work explores the relationship between the aesthetics of cellular and planetary systems.

2022

In this continuation of Regenerations, BC native seeds have been added to handmade flax paper. Natural dye made from cabbage is used again with an addition of guar gum to achieve more precise application. These are meant to be temporary and once the designs fade, the pieces are planted to promote native plant biodiversity within Vancouver.
